My brother and his girlfriend Louise just came back from Thailand where they visited an elephant sanctuary that houses thirty five adult elephants and two babies. Volunteers can feed and bathe them, so that is what they did for the day.











Scrubbing a sweet elephant's tushy! I would too in a heart beat. And now he can check that off the list of "things to do in your lifetime."

Tanesha Smith Wattley is a very important person to me. And now she is the birthday girl!

Little Sherman had surgery so the side of his head was shaved. I told Tanesha that Sherman reminded me of Elvira's dog, Gonk.
This is unfortunately the only photo of Gonk that I could find....

I just was sent to be a photo of my baby grandfather with great grandmother and great grandfather. Never had any idea of what they looked like until now. It's bizarre how far technology (and fashion for that matter) have come since these early photos. Cheers Dad!

.....It is surreal to know that we were was in the vicinity of yesterday's horrific assassination attempt a week and a half ago. Tucson is fairly quiet but there are some crazy laws-such as the newly passed right to carry a firearm into a bar. Very wild wild west.....I am so sad for those killed.
