This past Monday I flew from LAX to JFK and upon takeoff the plane flew right over the horrendous Los Angeles mountain fires. I would have had better photos but I pulled my camera out at the last minute as I sat there in awe of the destruction I witnessed at that altitude. The photos do not show the enormity of the situation at all.
